Every time Verne finds a turtle he brings it home. We keep them for a few hours, and set them free. There is a nearby pond, so I know they find a home quickly.

I'll have to show these photos to my boys...they will love them. We used to have lots of turtles in our yard and on the side of the road...there was water right across the street...it was fun to see them out and about.
Looks like he's heading out for the pond as you photographed him. It's a tough world out there, for men and critters.

It is good to have turtles around they eat lots of bugs.
