Nice sunset Tracy. I wondered where you had disappeared to for a while. Good to see you back! I know you do other blogs beside this one though!

Okay, I'm in the market for a new digital camera. I have a Nikon D3 (way too big) and my little point and shoot Canon. I read a review about the Nikon D40 as a photographer's favorite, light weight, but still gets it done. Don't even need the D80. Any thoughts? Your pictures are always extraordinary! Thanks for visiting my blog. i'm kind of new at it and need practice! Susan

Susan,
My "real" camera is a Pentax-very nice. But for digital, I was clueless. When I was ready to buy, I did a consumer reports check. They recommended the Kodak Easyshare 875C. So, that's what I bought. I 've been really happy with it. I hope that helps!

Dear Tracy!

Thank you so much for your last comment on my roses!

But I am sorry having to disappoint you but my two roses Biedermeier and Pastalla are both not really fragrant! Well, according to what I've learnt from my new rose book, many "new" roses that have this nostalgic old touch lost their fragrance!

Have a blessed Sunday!

Tracy and Susan,

I am a Nikon nut so the D40 or D40x sound like winners to me. I know Anna shoots with a Nikon also. IF you can afford it and you are really interested in pictures I would consider going even to the D50, 70 or 80. I currently use a D80 after having a D50. My wife still uses her D50 that she started off with.

It is confusing. I would stick with one of the 2 major brands Nikon or Canon so you can collect lens as you get further into it.

More information than you guys ever wanted to know.

Tracy - I actually posted something today breaking my self imposed exile from blogging.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Mike
